ESCWA HEADQUARTERS - Beirut Central District, Lebanon

Construction of the “LOT JB 132 Office Building” (ESCWA Building). The project included around 45,000m² of Office Building and Underground Parking. Below ground the building project is around 53 x 80 meters. In the floors above ground, the building has a U form. It is built up around a central Garden Area of 16x20m with a 20m opening to the South Façade. The eighth level on the South side spans 20 meters. A steel supporting structure carries the building over the South entrance below. This Multi-Storey Building has large spans with 30cm thick prestressed concrete floors. High seismic resistance is provided with large span auditorium structure below the entrance Garden.
