ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR NABATIEH SOLID WASTE TREATMENT FACILITY SORTING & COMPOSTING PLANT - Lebanon
Implementing a solid waste management plan for the villages and towns in the Union of Municipalities of Chquif ‐ Nabatieh that aims to alleviate the environmental pressures especially those related to air pollution as well as public nuisance resulting from waste burning and open dumping. The proposed solid waste management plan consists of constructing a solid waste treatment facility for sorting and biological conversion (composting) of domestic solid waste of a capacity of 150 tons per day for the collected solid waste.
Services Undertaken included
- Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Report for Nabatieh Solid Waste Treatment Facility (Sorting & Composting).
- Preparation of a Solid Waste Management Plan for the villages and towns in the Union of Municipalities of Chqif – Nabatieh.
- Design of the Solid Waste Treatment Facility that included sorting plant and composting plant (biological conversion).
