FEASIBILITY STUDY OF INDUSTRIAL EFFLUENT TREATMENT AND EFFLUENT RECOVERY - ICAD - Abu Dhabi, UAE

The project consists of an Industrial Effluent Treatment Plant (IETP) with a capacity of 40 000m³/day designed in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD). Trade effluents, including any liquid by-product, water used in production, washing and cooling will be discharged via the ICAD sewerage system and treated in the IETP.

The discharge will be controlled by ZonesCorp through a tenancy agreement issued to each premises within the ICAD site. The plant consists of several treatment stages: Physical, Chemical, Biological and filtration. An additional advanced treatment, the Reverse Osmosis (RO) will be added to the IETP treatment stages to enhance the effluent quality for its reuse in the industrial processes.

Services Undertaken include Preparation of a Feasibility Study (FS) including the following:

  • Scientific study of the IETP along with different existing treatment stages
  • Scientific and Economic study of the Reverse Osmosis process
  • Market study of the treated effluent
