Phase III is regionally focussing on the North of Lebanon. Due to conflicts between Lebanese armed forces and terrorist groups in and around the Palestinian refugee camp Nahr El-Bared (NBC) north of Tripoli. The program measures constitute Phase III of an emergency rehabilitation program to support the modernisation and reconstruction of wastewater and water systems. Actually the following measures are of high priority
A. Construction of a main wastewater collector between the treatment plant in Tripoli (EU-financed, under construction) and the Nahr El-Bared Palestinian refugee camp about 13 km north of Tripoli,
B. Rehabilitation and construction of the necessary feeder pipes in the secondary & tertiary network (including pumping stations and house connections) for the communities east of the coastal sewer (Beddawi- and El-Minieh region, Nahr El- Bared; in total about 140.000 inhabitants).
Services Undertaken include:
The preparation of the design and Tender Documents of a coastal trunk sewer from Nahr El Bared to Tripoli (13 km, with 4 or 5 pump stations), and of sewer networks including house connections for 7 communities along the coastal sewer water and sewer network followed by Supervision of Construction works
