LEBANON WATER POLICY PROGRAM (LWPP), ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM ASSESSMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS DEVELOPMENT OF SOUTH LEBANON WASTEWATER MASTER PLAN
This project consists of strengthening the newly formed South Lebanon Water and Wastewater Establishment, improving the image of SLWWE towards international funding community, providing a tool for decision making, investment and planning and introducing wastewater operations to the newly formed establishment.
Services Undertaken included
- Assess the current wastewater situation in South Lebanon;
- Review previous work done in the South and existing documents and studies on wastewater planning in the country;
- Design a priority action plan;
- Develop GIS maps and database according to the collected information;
- Design and develop a wastewater master plan for the South based on existing plans and network;
- Estimate the implementation and capital investment planning;
- Coordinate with LWPP team to introduce the results of the wastewater master plan to the financial cost recovery model and identify its impact on the tariff.
