CONSTRUCTION OF A FACILITY FOR TREATING OILY POLLUTED WATER COMING FROM TABAN SPRING TO AL BASIL LAKE - Syria

Taban Spring is located at the West side of Tishrine Oil Field in the region of Al-Hassaka and ends in Al Basil Lake which is used for irrigation purposes.

Al Basil Lake has been contaminated by oil which migrates to the Lake via Taban Spring.

The project includes a proper containment, channeling and separation systems for oily polluted water coming from Taban spring to Al Basil lake, in addition to settling and regular cleaning of the location to remove oil entrapped in the soil.

The project consists of the following activities as indicated below:

  • Field investigation of the Taban Spring area
  • Water sampling from the Taban spring
  • Geological and Hydrogeological study of the Taban Spring area
  • Preparation of tender documents for the construction of the treatment facility including the technical specifications, drawings, bill of quantities, cost estimate, calculation notes & design criteria and operation manual.
