GOLD SOUKS - Beirut Central District, Lebanon

Construction of the Gold Souks, part of the BCD Souks Project, located between Allenby Street to the East, Weygand Street to the South, Ibn Iraq Square to the West and Fakhry Bey Square to the North. The Project covers around 15,000 m² of built-up areas comprising Retail Units (over 100 shops of different sizes) Secure Areas in a Commercial Building including Restaurants and Office Space. The Superstructure of the Project is subdivided into 4 blocks: 3 four-to-five storey blocks along the streets surround a two-storey block which contains the Gold Souks which is penetrated by the extension of Souk Ayass. The Souk proper consists of a variety of Open Air and Covered Walkways that give access to the Retail Units and a medium sized Open Square. Buildings are stone clad and enjoy all modern facilities. The project also includes the rehabilitation of a Historic Building on Plot 103.

Services undertaken include Preparation of Architectural Designs Development and Construction Supervision of the Gold Souks.
